003 : DUM-E

DUM-E, inspired by Tony Stark's robotic assistant is a tool I made to use to help me as a desktop assistant. The idea is to use 6 servo motors for 6 degrees of freedom for a robotic arm that can switch out tools using different modular attatchments each with a unique fiducial stickers for the object detection on the raspberry pi zero. I can use it for pick and place components on my PCB for easier SMT soldering and for soldering wire. The components would be housed in a 3D printed casing with motor mounts and gearings for a belt drive on the shoulder. The motors will use the PWM (pulse width modulation) to move the motors as the raspberry pi is coded in python.
